Our Business
Endurance Pilates and Yoga is a studio dedicated to the practice of mind-body exercise and control of the body through the practice of pilates. We are interested in working with all levels of students, but please note that Authentic Pilates and Vinyasa forms of yoga are challenging exercise regimens. Our workouts are vigorous and produce results. Our group classes are designed for the healthy student and are not appropriate for students with injuries, chronic conditions that would preclude them from a group class, or new to exercise pregnant students that do not already have a regular pilates or yoga practice. Our policy is for your safety.
Please contact us at julie@endurancepilates.com with questions about options if you are injured or pregnant and wish to pursue a practice at Endurance. We are trained in working with special populations and injuries and are certified pre and post natal instructors. We have strenthened post- rehab shoulders, knees and hips and have worked with many students throughout all forty weeks of their pregnancies!
You will be a stronger person, but please know that the Authentic Pilates method taught at Endurance Pilates and Yoga is meant to challenge you physically and mentally even at the Basic level. If you are transferring from another pilates studio, please plan on observing prior to attending so that you are able to choose the proper class level. Most students- even those with a regular pilates practice at a gym or other studios and even instructors trained in other pilates methods- need to begin with our Basics classes in order to understand our method properly. Our classes are significantly more challenging than most and our results prove that the hard work is worth it! All of our Intermediate and Advanced Pilates Mat, Barre Boston and Reformer classes are reserved for advanced students and require permission to attend.

Experienced Staff
We are different from other studios and gym pilates and won't waste your precious training time with exercises that don't work or dangerous pilates teaching methods. Our well-trained instructors have training in Authentic classical systems through the Romana lineage, Power and Peak Pilates and contemporary pilates systems such as Stott and Balanced Body. We use our knowledge in all of these realms to create the most beneficial workout for your body. We would never allow instructors to teach after just a weekend course. Our instructors complete a very comprehensive program including written and practical exams preparing them to take the Pilates Method Alliance exam and are continuously updating their knowledge with continuing education. You are in good hands at Endurance!
Our students are very serious about their workouts and are upset when others disrupt an intermediate or advanced class with an untrained body and mind- please don't take a class that you cannot handle. We have plenty of intro and basic classes on the schedule to start you out with!! You won't find a more experienced and qualified instructor team in Boston. Remember, there is no race to the advanced class, it is about the journey and learning about your body and its unique strengths and challenges. Our instructors are talented enough to teach a Basics class that can challenge the advanced student, yet be appropriate for a new student.

She has a BFA in Sculpture from the Rhode Island School of Design and all of her artwork relates to the body. Lisa’s interest in exercise began with figure skating as a child. Nikki Stalling
Nikki's love of Pilates started 6 years ago when experimenting with it as a substitute to a bulky gym workout. From that day on, Pilates has not only become her source of exercise but also her mind and body connection. Inner peace with a strong core to support all other movements of the body is crucial to lengthening, elongating, and trimming. Nikki was Power Pilates certified for Beginner and Intermediate Mat, and has also been trained in Balanced Body Pilates Mat I, Mat 2, tower, and reformer certification. She works with all levels of students, but intends to challenge your body whether you are a beginner in need of modifications, or an advanced student who wants to go deeper into their workout.
Kristin Khederian RYT
Kristin started practicing yoga several years ago because she was bored and uninspired with her current gym routine and wanted something that challenged her physically but also offered a mental release from the stresses of everyday life. After just one class, Kristin knew that Yoga was what she was looking for. Hooked ever since, Kristin believes that her days are not complete until she has been on her mat. She feels that Yoga is truly so much more than just a physical practice, but rather a sacred time to work her body and mind in ways that she never thought possible.
Kristin teaches a powerful Vinyasa Flow class that is influenced by many styles of Yoga including Power Yoga, Shiva Rea’s Prana Flow, and Smart Sequence Flow. Her classes are fun and energetic and encourage freedom and expression through movement, while still emphasizing safe alignment techniques. You will sweat, laugh, flow to some great tunes and will certainly leave with a sense of renewed energy and clarity that will radiate throughout the rest of your day. Kristin believes that Yoga is for every body and if you commit to your practice, the results can be life changing.

Denise Carlton
Denise discovered Pilates after her first child was born in
2004. She had terrible back pain due to weak abdominals, nursing and carrying
him around everywhere in the baby carrier. She was excited to discover that
regular Pilates sessions not only alleviated her back pain and made her
stronger, it also reshaped her body in a way that years of running and gym
workouts had not. She quickly became addicted and wanted to find a way to share
her newfound passion for Pilates with others.
She completed the Balanced Body comprehensive training program
at Turning Point Studios in Walnut Creek, CA under the instruction of Nora St
John and Naomi Leserson. After completing the training, she worked with new
mothers by incorporating Pilates exercises in a boot camp class.
Since returning to the East Coast four years ago, she completed a Pilates
apprenticeship, has worked with private clients and recently joined the
Endurance team.
Denise has a BA from University of Massachusetts Amherst. Before
becoming a mom, she spent ten years working in marketing for three different
software companies. She loves to run and has completed three marathons, loves
biking and being active with her family and friends. She lives in Concord, MA
with her husband and three children.

Tonia Egan
Tonia grew up in New
Hampshire, where she attended the University of New Hampshire, earning her B.A.
in communications. She worked in
radio promotions for seven years before moving onto other Marketing and Sales
positions. She currently works
part time in the family owned business.
Her full time job is mom to two year old twins.
Tonia first found Pilates 12 years ago looking for something more
than just another aerobics class and found exactly what she wanted.
Tonia quickly fell in love with Pilates and its full mind, body methods
and benefits. Pilates is the one
exercise regimen she has stuck with over the years even through a herniated disc
and pregnancy, “I really enjoy the challenge and how it makes me feel alive
after a workout.”
During her time as a “stay –at-home mom” Julie mentioned
teaching. Today, Tonia is an
apprentice and student at Endurance Pilates and Yoga. She has put in several
hours of seminars, self practice, observation, studying, reading as well as
teaching beginners and multi-level students. She continues to learn as much as
possible about the Pilates method so she can pass it on.
Tonia has said, “I could not teach such a comprehensive regimen had it
not been for my own previous experience in pilates.” Tonia has this to say about
teaching, “I get excited when I see students learn something new or do something
they hadn’t been able to do before, and I enjoy sharing my love of Pilates with
others.”

2006 and continues to do so. Alyssa is
BodyAccess Certified in both Pilates Mat and Reformer. She also recently
completed Endurance Mat I, II, and III trainings as a part of furthering her
